Summer in Kelowna Increases Symptoms of Inner Peace

Smile It is Contagious

Summer has arrived in Kelowna and I instantly notice how people are now smiling more and spirits are lifted.  It amazes me what an effect the weather can have on our emotional well being and how much energy people spend talking about something we have absolutely no control over.  We do, however, have control over how we react to the weather and any situation experienced in our day to day lives for that matter.

It reminds me of this poem I came across on “Symptoms of Inner Peace”.  It always puts a smile on my face and is a great reminder how simply and wonderfully  contagious it can be to just smile and pass it on.  Now that summer is full on in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, be forewarned that the symptoms are spreading quickly in your community and they’re highly contagious!  As you read on you may be surprised at how many symptoms you’re experiencing yourself.

SYMPTOMS OF INNER PEACE

Some signs and symptoms of Inner Peace:

  • A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
  • An unmistakable interest in not judging other people.
  • A loss of interest in judging self.
  • A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
  • A loss of interest in conflict.
  • A loss of ability to worry. (Note: This is a very serious symptom!)
  • Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
  • Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
  • Frequent attacks of smiling.
  • An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
  • An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

Warning:

If you have some or all of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of Inner Peace may be so far advanced as to not be curable.   If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting any of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk.  Be on the lookout for symptoms of Inner Peace.  The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to Inner Peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions.   This could pose a serious threat to what has, up until now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.
